MINDS

Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS) was founded in May 1962. The advocate the causes and interests of people with intellectual disability. To do so, they aim to maximise the development and well-being of persons with intellectual disability through the provision of a comprehensive range of quality services. MINDS has grown to be one of the largest Voluntary Welfare Organisations in Singapore, serving some 2,400 clients from past the age of six to their ripe old age. MINDS’ services include four special schools, three employment development centres, three day training and development centres, and one multi-service residential home. 

What are they looking for?

1) Job Requirements:   
Proficient in design software, photo-taking, writing and coming up with interesting human-interest stories to angle our pitch. 
2) Job Description: 
-Develop and design marketing collaterals for our sheltered workshop/social enterprises.  
-Research on overseas social enterprises and sheltered workshops, to identify and find out how employment of persons with moderate to severe ID fare outside of Singapore. 
-Examine the models/structures of their employment and policies surrounding the issue. 
-Research on what industries in Singapore are suitable for persons with moderate to severe ID and how MINDS can go about embarking on these ventures.
